Levee Improvement District 7 Brazos River Erosion Control

In June 2023, Texas Dewatering, LLC was awarded the construction contract for the Brazos River Erosion Control Project by Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 7 (FBCLID 7). This large-scale infrastructure project focuses on stabilizing and reinforcing the Brazos River bank to mitigate erosion risks and protect surrounding communities and public assets.

Construction activities began in October 2023 and included early site preparation, temporary access improvements, and coordination to maintain public safety near active work zones. The project scope involves extensive earthwork operations, material hauling, and the placement of protective rock armoring along the riverbank to enhance long-term erosion resistance.

Throughout the project, Texas Dewatering has managed complex logistics, including high volumes of excavated material removal and the delivery of stabilization materials, while maintaining safe access routes for construction traffic. Work has been carefully scheduled around river conditions and weather patterns to ensure efficiency and durability of the completed improvements.

The Brazos River Erosion Control Project is scheduled for completion in late 2024 and represents a significant investment in flood resilience, environmental protection, and long-term infrastructure stability for the region.
